Wine and spirits company aims to boost productivity across its Australian and New Zealand bottling sites…

SolveIT Software, a provider of enterprise software solutions for supply and demand optimisation and predictive modelling, says Pernod Ricard Pacific has gone live with its Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) system across its Australia and New Zealand bottling plants.

SolveIT Software’s APS system will be used to optimise Pernod Ricard Pacific’s bottling operations at Rowland Flat, South Australia, and Tamaki, New Zealand.

SolveIT Software’s APS system has been integrated with Oracle’s JDE EnterpriseOne ERP system and SolveIT Software’s Tank Farm Optimiser at Rowland Flat, allowing for the synchronisation and optimisation of production schedules across both the tank farm and bottling operation.

“We believe that SolveIT Software’s Advanced Planning & Scheduling system will increase productivity, utilisation, and service levels across the multiple stages of production and packaging at our bottling sites in Australia and New Zealand,” said Brett McKinnon, technical director at Orlando Wines.

“The deployment of SolveIT Software’s enterprise applications for vintage intake planning, tank farm optimisation, and production-line scheduling are part of our plan to optimise our end-to-end supply chain.”

The implementation of SolveIT Software’s APS system follows the deployment of SolveIT Software’s Tank Farm Optimiser in 2007, which is used to optimise the wine production process across more than 1000 tanks through the creation of least-cost formulations, and SolveIT Software’s Vintage Intake Planner in 2008, which is used to plan and schedule the vintage intake process.
