New channel partner lines up for ERP provider…

Manufacturing and distribution focused ERP provider Syspro has ramped up its local coverage, signing BrainStorm IT to its lineup of channel partners as it looks for ‘ambitious’ growth.

BrainStorm IT joins the likes of Carrols Business Systems, BJM Business Solutions and Turnaround Services Global in Australia and, in Advanced ERP in New Zealand, in providing Syspro’s ERP offerings across A/NZ.

It’s important that Syspro is investing heavily in tech including ML and AI to enable anomaly detection.

The Melbourne-based business systems technology and ERP implementation partner, which provides consulting and implementation services along with developing bespoke enterprise software solutions for manufacturing, distribution and automotive companies, is also an Infor channel partner.

The company says it was important to them that Syspro is investing heavily in disruptive technologies including machine learning and artificial intelligence to enable anomaly detection, predictions and computer vision, all of which will help put Australian manufacturers and distributors using those technologies at the forefront of Industry 4.0 adoption.

“We work closely with business leaders, understanding what makes their businesses unique and then together we look for opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, increase sales and to improve profitability,” says Ty Osborne, BrainStorm IT CEO.

Rob Stummer (pictured), Syspro Asia Pacific CEO, told iStart building a strong channel partner network across Australia and New Zealand is key to helping the company achieve its ‘ambitious growth targets for this important region’.

Queensland-based partner MNM Business Solutions is currently implementing the ERP system into Kiwi founded, A/NZ agricultural machinery manufacturer McIntosh Farm Machinery.

The rolling implementation, due to be completed next year, is expected to ‘significantly’ improve McIntosh’s production and scheduling capabilities.

McIntosh, which has many paper based processes, including more than 6,000 production drawings featuring around 20,000 parts, says Syspro ERP will enable it to manage its end-to-end supply chain, from inventory management production and bill of materials, part traceability, quality control and financials, which is being implemented first and will go live in November.

The new system will also integrate with McIntosh’s CADtalk and other software such as payroll.

“Our former system [was] incredibly inflexible and the technology was too complex for our current workforce to grasp,” Brett McIntosh, McIntosh Farm Machinery managing director, says. “What we really needed was a more flexible ERP system that was built around simplifying the manufacturing process and would improve our ability to plan ahead.”

The ERP upgrade follows on from the installation of automation across McIntosh’s manufacturing plant, where Yaskawa robot welders and Hypotherm plasma cutters are in use, along with other smart factory investments as part of an Industry 4.0 strategy.

Syspro was ranked tenth in Capterra’s top 20 ERP listing earlier this year.
