Bobux, the New Zealand-headquartered baby and infant shoe brand operating in 43 countries with 14 web storefronts and thousands of SKUs, had outgrown its IT setup and was leaning on workarounds that slowed its ability to design and bring new products to market. When COVID-19 lockdowns shut bricks-and-mortar retail worldwide and triggered a surge in online demand, the business urgently needed a stronger B2C model to sit alongside its existing wholesale operation.
A discovery exercise with Auckland-based NetSuite partner CloudZone One found Bobux was asking its existing ERP to do things it was never designed for. CloudZone One proposed a single NetSuite platform to run accounting, ecommerce, ERP, CRM and professional services automation together, with an implementation plan targeting 3-4 months so Bobux could respond quickly to the changing market – though COVID lockdowns pushed the go-live to August 2021. The rollout started with financials before moving through inventory and the rest of the solution, giving staff time to get comfortable with each module.
Bobux now runs an integrated omni-channel B2B and B2C platform giving real-time visibility across the business, supporting the pace of design and innovation the brand needs to keep growing globally.
