Vetora Bay of Plenty, a 100% New Zealand-owned vet club tracing back to 1944 and now running four clinics across Rotorua, Reporoa, Taupo and Galatea, had outgrown the accounting package underpinning its finance operations. Processing more than 10,000 transactions a month, the system regularly crashed on basic reports like GST returns, and a poor integration with its practice management software introduced inventory errors that disrupted day-to-day operations.
General Manager Corporate Services Mickey van der Merwe led the search for a system that could handle Vetora’s transaction volume across multiple sites, choosing Oracle NetSuite delivered by Verde Group’s Project Salsa practice. The deployment – described by Vetora as “amazing” – took just two months from decision to go-live.
A year on, NetSuite has eliminated the manual reconciliations that used to consume staff time, improved inventory accuracy, and given the board the fast, reliable reporting it needs for decision-making.
