Chevalier Wholesale Produce, the Auckland-based fresh fruit and vegetable distributor, deals with prices and product availability that change daily – and needed to meet Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry export traceability requirements that most financial software vendors simply didn’t understand.
Chevalier built a customised Jiwa system over five years, integrating Crystal Reports and Excel through scripting, with automated hourly scripts linking purchase orders directly to sales orders for real-time business snapshots and compliance documentation.
“Many of the companies we spoke to simply didn’t comprehend our business needs… Jiwa showed they understood our business,” says Graham Janssen, General Manager at Chevalier Wholesale Produce, where up to 30 staff use the system daily and new employees are proficient within about a week.
