LogMeIn promises easy, secure remote access

Newsdesk · October 1, 2009

Despite the advent of Google Docs and remote access to email via the web, working remotely remains an issue for many staff...

A new product LogMeIn Central promises to help by both effectively extending the office network out – securely – and making it easy to set up remote access. The offering is aimed at smaller businesses and IT professionals. The company boasts, in a video, that remote access to multiple computers can be set up in 60 seconds.

Although access is over the web, the service promises secure file transfer.

User Alan Morrison, from Geek to the Rescue, says while remote access makes it possible to work faster, LogMeIn Central makes such even easier as it can be deployed remotely and quickly on clients’ computers, allowing for remote monitoring and management of PCs.

The US product has recently been released in Australia and New Zealand. A free trail product can be downloaded from LogMeIn’s website.
