Fresh Produce Group, Australia’s largest fresh produce provider spanning California farms, Sydney restaurants and Hong Kong supermarkets, was running financials on DOS-based software and Excel spreadsheets – with no visibility into a business network that had outgrown both.
Fresh Produce Group implemented NetSuite in 2008 for financials, inventory, order management and CRM, building a custom pallet-management module integrated with radio frequency barcode scanning.
The move won the company NetSuite’s “Hairball Award” for the greatest disentanglement from on-site software, posting 100% net profit margins on the project and saving $1 million a year by identifying and cutting overheads.
