Cropmark Seeds, the New Zealand pasture seed breeder and marketer, needed a system that could handle a roughly 500% jump in transaction volume after a late-2011 strategic alliance with Ravensdown – its legacy accounting system was slow, cumbersome and couldn’t track seed variety, line numbers, quality tests or storage degradation in the detail the business needed.
Fusion5 implemented NetSuite in July 2013, giving Cropmark robust seed quality tracking, reporting to replace manual spreadsheets, and mobile access for sales teams across New Zealand and Australia.
“The staff who use it all the time just love it. Transactions take a fraction of the time,” says Paul McKenzie, Financial Controller at Cropmark Seeds, where the business absorbed its five-fold growth in transactions without adding headcount, and the project came in at less than half its budgeted cost.
