Perfect Potion, a Brisbane-based manufacturer and retailer of organic skincare and aromatherapy products, had been running its operations on SYSPRO since version 6.1. As the business grew across 18 stores nationally, it identified a need to move to SYSPRO 8 to take advantage of newer functionality without disrupting day-to-day operations.
The upgrade, covering roughly 500 manufacturing SKUs and 800 retail products, was completed over four weeks including user acceptance testing, and included SYSPRO’s Avanti web interface and point-of-sale module. Because SYSPRO 8 kept the same modular structure staff were already used to, the transition avoided the kind of upheaval a full system change would usually bring.
Since the upgrade, Perfect Potion has used the new version to work toward a more paperless manufacturing operation, with live postings to the general ledger, predictive-text entry and the ability to email invoices directly to customers all cited as day-to-day time savers.
