It’s official: Apple CEO Steve Jobs will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with the unveiling of its upcoming cloud services offering, called, predictably, iCloud…
Rumours of an Apple cloud services product have been swirling since the company purchased the iCloud.com domain for $US4.5 million from the Swedish company Xcerion in April.
During the keynote address, the company will also unveil its next generation software – Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X, and iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
The conference will also feature over 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers, giving Mac developers the opportunity to see and learn how to develop Mac OS X Lion applications using cutting-edge technologies and capabilities.
