Partnership focused on unified global content lifecycle solution for managing content in multiple languages and formats…

Lionbridge Technologies and Author-it Software Corporation have announced a strategic alliance to create a unified global content lifecycle solution.

Through the alliance, the two companies say they will integrate the Author-it enterprise authoring platform with Lionbridge’s language technology platform. They say the integrated solution will allow organisations to create, structure, reuse, localise and publish content into multiple languages and multiple formats from virtually any enterprise source within a single application.

Author-it Software Corporation, which has over 3,500 clients in 50 countries, specialises in enterprise authoring, component content management and multi-channel publishing software while Lionbridge focuses on translation and language productivity platforms.

The two vendors say by integrating the Author-it environment with Lionbridge’s language platform, organisations can reduce costs, eliminate unnecessary file transactions and maximize reuse across the entire content creation ecosystem.

“This partnership brings together the most advanced technology from enterprise authoring, component content management, multi-channel publishing, and translation software to provide a single, end-to-end global authoring solution,” says Paul Trotter, CEO of Author-it Software Corporation.

“Our clients are looking for a single global content solution that enables them to develop and leverage source language content in a cost effective manner. By integrating Lionbridge’s live-asset language solutions into our application, the translation processes can be directly linked with content creation to form a seamless workflow. This powerful combination drastically extends reuse and consistency throughout the entire global content lifecycle.”
