BI specialist picks up the Supreme Business Partner of the Year award for its deployment of a Cognos TM1 solution for burger chain Wendy’s…

Business intelligence consultancy Cortell took out the overall Supreme Award at this year’s annual IBM Business Partner awards.

Each year IBM, in conjunction with Reseller News, holds an awards ceremony to recognise and reward the achievements of IBM business partners and IT resellers.

Cortell won this year’s ‘New Intelligence’ award category on the strength of an IBM Cognos TM1 deployment for the Wendy’s chain of hamburger restaurants.

Cortel says it was “surprised and thrilled” to then be named IBM NZ Supreme Business Partner of the Year, especially since the competition “included major names such as Solnet and Gen-i”.

Cortell’s project for Wendy’s used the Cognos TM1 business intelligence tool to provide sales information that was previously unattainable.

The top-level recognition at the business partner awards of a BI specialist is in alignment with the trends highlighted in a recent IBM Trans-Tasman survey of CIOs which found senior IT managers identified business intelligence and analytics as the next best way to enhance their organisation’s competitiveness.
