SuitBids, an online marketplace for professional services launched July with the aim of providing a new avenue for professionals to connect with clients and tender for live jobs…

SuitBids founders Bradley Seeto and Nick Chiarelli are Chartered Accountants and know just how time-consuming and costly lead generation can be. With this in mind they set to creating a new virtual marketplace where so-called ‘suits’ can secure new business from all over Australia.

While there will always be a need for traditional face-to-face engagements, SuitBids is focused on jobs that can be completed without the need to visit a client in person, such as income tax preparation, bookkeeping, mortgage broking and conveyancing work.

Bradley Seeto explained that clients can solicit ‘suits’ by simply posting for free the details of the job they need done on the SuitBids site. Seeto said the site has specifically designed forms for each service to make it simple for clients to post a job and easier for the professionals to assess the jobs and bid accordingly.

“The SuitBids team reviews and selects the best bids and provide these to the client. The client can then message the Suits for more information; request more bids or select a suit from the bids provided.”

Co-founder Chiarelli believes that the key benefit for professional service providers using SuitBids is return on investment. “Traditional methods of finding new clients are expensive with a very low ROI. Business development events, industry functions and seminars usually have a very small percentage of attendees who are looking to engage a professional. On top of this you have no real way of being able to tell if the people you do meet are actually looking for someone with your specific skills. SuitBids takes the guesswork out of finding where new clients are.”

SuitBids also acts as a good market entry point for professionals who are freelancing or just starting out by offering immediate access to new clients and revenues.

Seeto said this was intentional as he and Chiarellii wanted to provide a platform for those people who have just started out or are sole practitioners and are looking for new clients.

“This is a better alternative to pounding the pavement and having multiple coffee meetings trying to chase new work, and it’s a lot easier on the kidneys!”
