Former Fisher & Paykel exec takes top job at tech solutions company…

Fronde has appointed Anthony Belsham as its new chief executive. Belsham has spent practically his entire career to date at appliances giant Fisher & Paykel in a variety of roles which included, in the 1990s, a 4-year stint as IT manager. Prior to this appointment, he was GM for global quality at the manufacturer.

Fronde chairman Jon Mayson said the company sought a leader with experience in global markets, sound business expertise and a strong customer focus. “Anthony has an outstanding background of leadership roles in a complex, innovative and global business; experience that will serve Fronde very well,” he said. “In addition, as a client of Fronde for many years, Anthony knows our company, our challenges and potential. He is ready to lead the next stage in our journey.”

Mayson added that Belsham has a solid background in digital and cloud-based solutions, and experience in leading global teams to deliver continuous improvement.

“Fronde is transitioning to become a cloud business, assisting clients with digital transformations and it’s great to welcome a CEO who understand and supports our vision,” he noted.

Based in Auckland, Belsham will head trans-Tasman and Philippines operations.

Belsham began his career writing code to control robotics and automated machinery. He has spent some 24 years at Fisher & Paykel, in diverse roles including global sales excellence manager, global inventory strategy manager, product development Auckland centre head and global cost, efficiency and quality manager.

“As a client of Fronde, I have been impressed with the outcomes delivered for Fisher & Paykel Appliances. We have some challenges to address in the short-term, but I believe we can continue to evolve as a business and achieve profitable growth,” Belsham said.

Belsham has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Auckland.
