The Australian brand RosterLive is no more, having been subsumed into WorkForce Software which bought the business in early 2013 and is now pushing ahead with rebranding in A/NZ…
The RosterLive cloud-based workplace scheduling system used by around 250 organisations across Australia and New Zealand has been renamed EmpLive following a rebranding conducted by WorkForce Software which bought the business in May 2013. RosterLive meanwhile has been rebranded as WFS Australia.
With a strong foothold in the health care and aged care sectors, along with successes in security and higher education, the EmpLive product continues to be developed in Australia by a team of around 26, and may in the future be updated and internationalised so that it can be marketed overseas, initially to English speaking nations internationally.
Leslie Tarnacki, WorkForce Software’s vice president of HR worldwide, and general manager of the company in A/NZ said that since the merger the Australian operations have doubled in terms of headcount and that the company now employs 70 people in Sydney and Melbourne. The vast majority of clients are in Australia, though the company has also deployed its solution for three New Zealand businesses and one in Japan, which are all serviced out of Sydney.
Tarnacki said that EmpLive traditionally sold into the small and medium enterprise sector. WorkForce Software’s EmpCenter by contrast is targeted at large enterprise users.
She said that at present there were no A/NZ users of EmpCenter, though a number of prospects were considering the solution.
Writing in a blog on the company website Tarnacki said that the rebranding and investment in A/NZ delivered “an opportunity to bring an entirely different array of solutions and services to large businesses in Australia and New Zealand. This is a segment of the market we have not been able to serve to-date, but with the introduction of WorkForce Software’s EmpCenter suite to our product portfolio, we’ll now be able to dramatically expand our footprint throughout the APAC region.”
While EmpLive is hosted in Australia by a third party cloud services provider Tarnacki declined to name the company involved, but said WFS Australia remained in charge of managing the service.
